Hitchhiker's Guide to Survived By

Recommended Posts

As many of you can no doubt tell, this guide is currently outdated. I'll be revamping it in the coming weeks as there have been many updates.

This will be a very extensive guide to everything you will need to know to succeed in Survived By.

Map

map1edit.PNG.cae9cfac85473652f677365e085acb97.PNGimage.png.d16951d11bbbf3d46cb08441c1b09459.png

NOTE: YOU MUST COMPLETE THE T5 DUNGEON TO GET TO T6 AND BEYOND

(Completing it will teleport you to the next area.)

Leveling Technique

(Might not be the most optimal, but it has worked for me [works best when geared] )

Immediately skip to T3 to farm quests there until level 7-8.

Then, go farm quests and the dungeon in T4 until around level 15.

At level 15 farm T5 quests and dungeon.

At around level 20 skip to T8 doing the quests and dungeon there carefully.

Dungeons

(Only going to go over bosses)

Tier 1

4 Crystals that shoot single shots and can be destroyed. Boss fires a wave of bullets at you.

image.png.1d31be09922f301414274f7c9a4486a9.png

Tier 2

Fires the large shots shown here and spinning smaller shots that do less damage.

Temporarily recedes and turns invincible after 2 shot cycles.

Spawns one minion sometimes when it recedes.

image.png.6802caa14b51dc032f03a3a6c1b472de.png

Tier 3

Boss fires sets of 3 bullets shown here.

Boss can clone itself, and the clones can shoot as well.

Can turn temporarily invincible by turning into a tornado.

image.png.6888f9ff503422c6b02021aec2e3ea23.png

Tier 4

Boss fires volleys of bullets shown below.

He lights the fires which spawn tornadoes that you can only destroy by putting out the fire.

He turns invincible for a second as he lights the fire.

Whenever he gets low he is temporarily invincible, and all the fires ignite and become invincible.

image.thumb.png.1d64dd6a27c1146e2a7ee031658e5949.png

Tier 5

Boss spawns minions that go onto the pillars and poison you.

Boss shoots waves of decently high damage bullets.

Boss goes left to right occasionally firing if you show yourself

Hide behind the pillars to avoid bullets.

image.thumb.png.fe4008791fa66b3ea33191022c0faaf3.png

Tier 6

Boss shoots high damage shots in all direction, the hitboxes of these shots is larger than they appear.

The boss starts off with multiple tentacles that shoot decent damage slowing shots, avoid these at all costs.

When tentacles die, the boss can regenerate them over time.

image.png.ffacc3a2d477862b9bf4f8ff3b377e51.png

Tier 7

Not a threat at all.

Boss is completely stationary, does not fire anything, and only spawns a few minions every once in a while.

Do NOT ever step into the boss, this will deal extremely high damage to you.

image.thumb.png.6e3cc4d9f5bf6fe7cddd6ef54d9c8f67.png

Tier 8

Boss shoots shotguns of 3 decent damage bullets.

Boss fires a ray of petrification occasionally and spawns a snake whenever it fires.

Boss can be easily dodged by running in a circle around it.

image.png.4b610137932a7b8989b71815c5f793ce.png

Hard Dungeons (T9)

(Only listing noteworthy mechanic changes)

Tier 2 Hard

Boss shoots high damage liquid leaving shots that stay for a period of time.

Tier 3 Hard

Boss occasionally fires a wall of bullets that do high damage as he enters tornado form.

Tier 4 Hard

Fires have enough health trying to kill them is pointless.

There are spikes around the middle of the boss area.

Tier 5 Hard

More minions spawn (in the middle of the area) that obstruct the fight.

Tier 6 Hard

Tentacles spawn on the outside ring of the boss area as well.

Tier 7 Hard

It can shoot (a lot of decent damage bullets, watch out).

Tier 8 Hard

Statues at the top of the boss area fire petrification shots occasionally.

Tier 10 (Normal) Conduit of Fire

First Miniboss

Fires easy to doge waves of bullets.

Can create minions.

Easy to kill.

image.png.6504b619d668b6c5f1e242c3c5a34b84.png

Second Miniboss

Follows you while shooting in the same pattern as the final boss' third phase.

Uses the same ring of bullets as the third boss.

Can clone exactly like the mirage boss.

Aggressively follows you.

image.png.5aa281084edb0785ce4821eabae70c1e.png

Final boss of Conduit (I have killed him multiple times it just didn't register, not getting a picture of him for my personal safety).

Has 3 phases.

First phase: Walks around in a circle around a magma pit in the middle while shooting waves of bullets at you. Spawns eggs that do basically no damage.

Second phase: Chooses a different corner, sprays out bullets back and forth, and shoots 3 balls of magma that leave a high damage trail at the end while spawning minions.

Third Phase: Boss walks towards you while firing in all directions. He then stops and creates three rings of bullets while continuing to fire at you. These rings of bullets deal insane damage.

Silver Farming

Tome Farming

Dangerous chests can drop tomes that can be sold for high prices (2500 silver for master crafting tome).

chest.PNG.c0529053993ddf0eb88ef00528d09c37.PNG

Enriched Obsidian Farm

(requires farming T10)

Best way to farm silver.

You can get up to 100 enriched obsidian from one clear of T10.

Each enriched obsidian can be sold for 100 silver meaning one run can get you up to 10K silver.

Avoid At All Costs

This section is to label some mobs you should avoid like the plague because they can and will one shot you even at higher levels.

Swamp Anima

image.png.f5a3b2aa227fe11f09434133173e78d5.png

Hellbound

image.png.f07c1bd7d28deba81a6e6200f457adfc.png

Vanguard (Specifically the ones in T5)

These don't deal INSANE damage like the rest here, they're more like an honorable mention because they do a lot more damage than all the other enemies in the T5 dungeon).

image.png.7a95f31a04ab61b970ab5d7fb6814c35.png

Crafting

Dismantle

This can give you materials such as imprints, sockets, or the materials used to craft the item.

dismantle.thumb.PNG.a92f472766ad57eff70136524ddab21c.PNG

Imprints

These increase the chance of getting that particular prefix or suffix when rerolling.

imprint.PNG.20ac7293a87f0c09611dbc095a5e88b4.PNG

Sockets

Placing a charm into your item's socket gives a damage bonus against a certain enemy type (each charm tells you what enemy types they work against in their description).

The charms you socket into an item can only match the level of the item. So, a level 8 item can only have a T6 charm and a T2 charm at maximum.

T6 is the highest tier of charm.

socketmenu.PNG.a2ace829ce6e05ff766f4509e89198b8.PNG

A Tier: Fragmentation, Rapid Fire, and Wavy Pentaspread

A- Tier: Wavy Quadspread, Lingering, and Long Range Ricochet

B+ Tier: Paired Helix, Heavy, and Piercing

B Tier: Trishot

B- Tier: Quadspread, Pentaspread

C Tier: Flanking, Snaring, and Short but Powerful

D Tier: Accelerating, Piercing Wave, and Blasting

New Quest System

Location

It is to the right of the first southern expanse shrine (the 3rd shrine going left to right across T3).

Quest Qiver

He has 4 quests with the rewards listed below. You can do his quests once every 18 hours.

image.png.583bf2dc2a3e54a504fb4fad8f8f862b.png

Quest 2

image.png.916eb56a254893053ea826611778e606.png

image.png.695b711f2b2a48289dae7b8d93ac69f0.png

Quest 4

For quest 4 you have to kill the Lion King. After you start the quest, a door will appear to the right of the quest giver that acts as a portal to teleport you to where the Lion King is.

Tips and Closing

Farming dungeons for gear is much quicker and effective than crafting other than T10 equipment (which you have to craft).

Dungeons are very good for leveling and should be your main source of loot and xp.

Leveling a class to 25 for the first time unlocks a free character slot.

And most importantly,

have fun and enjoy your time playing the game!

I'm currently stuck in the first T5 area after T4 and I can't find the way further...

I can't find they pass to the next area on your map can you explain how I get from "Ruins Of Haras" to "Escalade Islands" or "Ruins of Sagila"?

You have to complete the tier 5 dungeon. After you complete the dungeon you are teleported to the other side of the fissure that blocks you from continuing.

The dungeons appear on the map as triangles, they are clearly shown on my map. However, at the time you made that message, I think spawning nest was glitched and not there. It has been fixed.

Oh yea sorry about that, I forgot I need to fix my map. The spawning nest was moved. I'll get on that.

what does socketing charms into armor do?

The same as socketing it into a weapon, it just gives a damage bonus I'm pretty sure.

very handy guide; must have taken a lot of work thanks. Can you put more information about late-game goals? (once you reach lvl 25)

Sure? It'd really just be me going over the different relics though, everything else is already there. I'll add it after I wake up.

How do I craft hard mode keys with the Skeleton key?

Hard mode keys are able to be crafted by going to the materials tab of T9 crafting and scrolling down.

how to run through locations, might be useful for new players as it's kind of hard to tell by looking on the in-game map

Look under materials in the T9 crafting. You'll have to scroll down, but they're there.
